As a Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This driving position requires a valid driver's license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document activities while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established campus protocols and notifying appropriate personnel. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe campus activity, assisting with visitor directions, event support, and access-control procedures as assigned. Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to campus representatives and Allied Universal supervision. Minimum Requirements: At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
