Overview The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development‑focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. Over 16 weeks you will participate in a self‑paced, collaborative training that includes both virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Your support team will include a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and your Store Manager coach. Key Responsibilities Actively engage with your leader in Key Learning Experiences to support your path to promotion during the structured program. Support your store as a management team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage your colleagues to support the company’s purpose of "helping people on their path to better health." Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market where you work. Support the store’s operations, including customer care and merchandising strategies, to drive sales growth and maintain profitability. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or GED (required). Four‑year college degree preferred; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Retail management experience or prior experience as a CVS Supervisor. Communication skills – verbal and written – to support and lead your team. Ability to manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Willingness to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs and to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location within the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores located within the designated market. Program Details Anticipated weekly hours: 45 Type: Full time Pay range: \$18.50 – \$26.25 per hour (base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary); actual offer depends on experience, education, geography and other factors.
