Insurance Defense Attorney

DescriptionOur client is looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team in Sacramento or Fresno. This role involves managing a diverse caseload, including pre-litigation and active litigation matters, while providing strategic legal counsel to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.Responsibilities:• Manage a comprehensive caseload of pre-litigation and active litigation files, ensuring timely and effective resolution of cases.• Draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and trial preparation materials.• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for depositions, negotiations, and client meetings, offering strategic insights and advice.• Conduct thorough legal research to evaluate claims and provide clients with informed guidance on their legal positions.• Negotiate with opposing counsel and other parties to resolve disputes and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.• Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to update them on case progress and strategic decisions.• Mentor and provide strategic guidance to attorneys at the beginning of their careers, fostering their growth and development.• Stay informed about changes in legal procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and effective representation.Requirements• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.• At least 6 years of experience in civil litigation, with a preference for insurance defense experience.• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and CoCounsel.• Strong skills in legal research, analysis, and case strategy.• Excellent organizational and communication abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.• In-depth understanding of legal procedures and their practical applications.• Trial experience is a plus but not required.Job typePerm
