SMP sells its products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico, and other Latin American countries.Overall ScopePerform all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Plant Manager to successfully lead the Human Resource efforts of Greenville Operations.Minimum RequirementsBAC DegreeDemonstrated Leadership Experience.Five or more years experience in the Human Resource/Safety field.Project management experienceExcellent Communication SkillsResponsibilities and DutiesAdministers the Human Resource Process for the facilityLeads and directs Human Resources staffLeads strategic initiatives as they relate to peopleLeads staffing process from hourly through managementLeads on-boarding process for new employeesLeads Safety Process for facilityMaintains job descriptionsParticipates in development of plant goalsReports data as necessary to Plant ManagerManages benefits administrationMaintains Employee Handbook and changes as necessaryManages disciplinary processesCouncils employees on various issues as necessaryAdministers compensation process as necessaryPerforms other tasks as assigned by managementErgonomic FocusWorking at desk and walking in plant.Reading reports.Communicates in person and using telephone and computer.Typing on computer.Standing/walking/sitting during 8 hour work day.Standard Motor Products is an equal opportunity employer.
