PITT OHIO offers career opportunities within a company that values hard work, teamwork and integrity.ScheduleMonday-Friday2:30 PM- 11 PMWhat PITT OHIO OffersCompetitive payExcellent benefits including medical insurance with no weekly premiums, dental, vision, 401 (k) and profit sharingPaid time off and holidaysA respectful, people first work environmentWell-maintained equipment & modern facilitiesBase Pay Range: $ - $/hourActual compensation may vary due to factors such as experience, skill set and additional potential earnings.Additional Potential Earnings:Shift DifferentialCDL PremiumASE Certification BonusTool AllowanceOnline TrainingIf you're looking to join a company with a strong culture and a commitment to its employees, PITT OHIO is the place for you.ResponsibilitiesDiagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs fleet equipment safely and correctly;Conducts failure analysis, repairs, and rebuilds fleet equipment components correctly;Informs management about housekeeping opportunities, harmful working conditions, and unsafe work practices, and suggests corrective actions;Identifies and informs management of broken tools and missing supplies required for performing repairs on fleet equipment, and takes steps to solve issue if possible;Correctly completes work orders and documents;Maintains a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety and compliance;Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.Perform additional duties as assigned.Operate and inspect mechanical equipment to diagnose defects;Analyze malfunctions and perform general overhaul, tune up or preventive maintenance of equipment;Dismantle and reassemble equipment;Plan work procedure using charges, technical manuals and experience;Enter labor lines and parts into repair order computer system.Other DutiesTravel to other company shop locations when staff is neededReact to change productivity and handle other essential tasks as assignedQualificationsTwo years' verifiable experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair OR a technical school degree, or certification in Heavy Duty Truck/Trailer Maintenance with one verifiable experience;A valid state-issued driver's license;Must pass DOT physical and drug screen;A CDL, ASE and State and/or Federal inspection certification is preferred but not required;Command of English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers;Knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair and maintain a variety of heavy trucks and semi-trailers and other mechanical equipment is required;Basic hand tools are required;Must have working knowledge of the operating principles of diesel engines and repair of heavy trucks;Ability to maintain detailed time and parts used on work ordersMust possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to communicate to both internal and external customersComputer skills needed for diagnostics.Must consent to the use of driver-facing event recorders in our fleet to promote the safety of our employees and the public.Working Conditions/Physical RequirementsTravel may be required; must be able to work a varied schedule based on needOvertime may be necessary during peak periods;Medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently to lift, push, pull, or otherwise move objectsSubject to both internal and external environmental conditionsSubject to: standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reachingPITT OHIO is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
