We are currently seeking a qualified Payroll Specialist to join the team in a remote role, based in the EST or CST time zones. This role is responsible for payroll processing and providing support for audits, compliance, and reports.Duties and Responsibilities:Process payroll for hourly and salary employees, including calculating salary, deductions, bonuses, and benefitsMaintain accurate payroll records, including attendance, leaves, and compensation changesCoordinate with HR, finance, and other departments to gather payroll data, such as new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changesReview and verify payroll inputs, including timesheets, bonuses, commissions, taxes, and deductions, to ensure accuracy and compliance with local tax laws and regulationsVerify tax and wage orders payments processed through third-party providerAudit the hours imported from time and attendance system and prepare adjustments for time adjustments for payroll processingAudit payroll inputs and complete variance audit for payroll approvals prior to payroll completionAddress and resolve employee inquiries related to payroll and deductions issues professionally and promptlyGenerate payroll reports for management, audits, and statutory filingsStay updated on changes in payroll regulations and implement necessary process changesAssist in payroll audits, compliance checks, reports, and system upgradesMaintain payroll records, documentation, and confidentiality of employee information in compliance with data protection laws and company policiesSkills and Qualifications:Minimum 8+ years of experience in payroll processing, global payroll processing is a plusProficient in payroll and HCM software and systems, Workday preferredSolid understanding of Federal and state payroll laws, tax laws, and compliance regulationsExcellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with large volumes of data accuratelyStrong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsStrong Excel skillsWage Range: The rate for this position is between $22.80 - $30.40 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
