Pay Rate:
$25–$30 per hour, based on experience
Schedule:
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
(Flexible scheduling available)
This is a fully on-site position. Remote work is not available.

Job Overview:
A growing construction company in Pleasant Valley, NY is seeking an experienced Construction Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day accounting and financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who has experience in the construction industry and is comfortable managing bookkeeping functions from start to finish.
The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks skills, experience with construction accounting, and the ability to manage multiple financial priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Construction Bookkeeper Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and financial transactions
• Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies
• Process construction project billing and support work-in-progress tracking
• Prepare cash flow reports and assist with financial reporting
• Support month-end and year-end accounting activities
• Monitor project costs and assist with job costing functions
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with management to support business operations and growth

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
• Construction industry experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel required
• Experience with job costing, project accounting, or construction billing preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Associate's Degree preferred; Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a plus
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
