Litigation Attorney

We handle workers' compensation and general liability matters for insurance carriers, employers' businesses, and government entities. Started in 2002, the WJCB team is over 200 people strong and growing. We also strive to provide an enjoyable, supportive home where all team members can flourish and succeed. We are currently expanding and looking for a Litigation Attorney in our Columbia, SC office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Consulting with clients Attending hearings Taking Depositions Preparing and responding to motions Preparing and responding to discovery Attending mediations and trials Adhering to the Firm's Code of Ethics, company policies, and operating principles Ideal Qualifications: SC License in good standing and SC Rule 403 compliance. Prefer1 year of civil litigation experience. Detail-oriented, diligent, and results-driven team player. Experience in drafting briefs and other legal documents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong research, organizational and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Knowledge of state and federal court practices.
