Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

(3rd Shift)= 6:00am-6:30pm Friday-Sunday, with occasional scheduled Holidays. May be required to float to other locations. We are seeking candidates who are experienced with all areas of the department, which include: • Decontamination of all items (Drills, Davinci, scopes, • Assembly of all instruments in all service lines (Trauma, loaners, peel packaging included) • Sterilization process (sterrad and steam) • HLD/ Scope experience • Sterile Storage • OR Liaison experience • Censitrac Tracking system experience Will accept either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM). OSU is a Level One trauma facility that is extremely busy and requires 3+ years of experience in a facility similar to OSU. Traveler Eligibility Requirements - Previous permanent employees are not eligible. -Travelers may extend their assignment for up to one year at OSU. -Travelers who reach the one-year assignment limit are not eligible for further extensions or future return assignments. - Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility are not eligible. (return travelers are considered to be any clinician that has taken an assignment at ANY location & is re-applying anywhere within the OSU umbrella) - Travelers who reach the one-year max contract limit are not eligible for extensions or future assignments. - Candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the care site address are not eligible.
