Medical Receptionist

Bay State Physical Therapy, a leading provider of outpatient physical therapy in the Northeast, is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our team. Our team at Bay State Physical Therapy - Ink Block-Boston (formerly Boston Sports Med)may be small, but we bring a lot of expertise to the table. With four PTs, a Dance Rehab Specialist, plus students, we’re known as a go-to destination for injured dancers and have one of the most highly trained scoliosis PTs in Massachusetts, drawing patients from hours away. Outside the clinic, we’re big travelers and outdoor enthusiasts, including a team leader who can often be found on a technical hike or climb. We call this our “luxury boutique” clinic – tiny, but mighty. Located in Boston’s Ink Block development, our space is surrounded by restaurants, Tatte, CorePower Yoga, a beer garden, and the largest Whole Foods in the country. We’re also within walking distance of both the Red and Orange Lines. What You'll Do Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments Verify insurance benefits and explain patient financial responsibilities Manage patient intake forms and maintain accurate records Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and insurance approvals Support clinic operations and maintain efficient schedules Assist with billing, payments, and administrative tasks What We're Looking For Experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or front desk role required Knowledge of insurance verification and patient financial responsibilities preferred Strong communication and customer service skills Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Why Join Us?
