Overhead Crane Technician

Overhead Hoist/Crane TechnicianHSC is a fast-growing company with immediate openings in the Dallas/Fort Worth for a mid-level to experienced Overhead Hoist/Crane Technician with strong customer focus & the desire to go the extra mile. Field Service Technicians are primarily responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting & repairing overhead crane systems. Familiarity with gear drives, bearings, couplings, wire rope hoist, chain hoist, VFD controls, remote control systems as well as other crane & hoist components.Candidates must pass drug/alcohol test and extensive background check prior to employment. Additional testing may be required as directed by customer.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:Perform scheduled preventive maintenanceEffectively interface with customer and HSC customer service to communicate maintenance, repairs and upgrades.Inspect, evaluate and make professional recommendations of repairs based on industry guidelines (OSHA, CMMA, NEC & ANCI)Maintain professional rapport with customer by efficiently responding to breakdowns, troubleshooting issues and completing job within acceptable timeframe.Communicate with the customer on the repairs and any recommended preventive maintenance and/or inspection that may be required to monitor the crane systemRequired Skills and Knowledge:Ability to work under pressure and with deadlinesAbility to work independentlyAbility to fabricate and weld (certified) is a plusAbility to perform inspection to OSHA/ANSI criteriaAbility to troubleshoot electrical circuitsAbility to disassemble and reassemble complex equipmentAbility to read drawings and electrical diagramsMust be able to work at heights (20-100+ feet)Must follow all safety guidelinesMaintain confidentialityQuality & results drivenGood driving recordAdditional Requirements:Must be willing & able to work off shifts and weekends as required by the customerMust be able to work overtime as needed by customerMust be able to serve "on call" as part of the service office rotationMust be able to travel out of town and overnight as neededMust be able to frequently lift 25 lbsMust be able to occasionally lift 50 lbsPosition requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching & overhead reachingPosition requires occasional pushing, pulling, kneeling & crawling.Position will frequently be exposed to heat, cold, noise and heightsCOMPETITIVE PAYBENEFITS PACKAGE THAT INCLUDES: PROFIT SHARING AND 401k matchHealth, Dental and VisionPaid HolidaysPaid PTO after completing 90 day probationary periodNote-this is not a crane operator position-Service Technicians ONLYMust be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
