Interim Director of Finance

HRB

InterimDirectorofFinance Undergeneralsupervision,theDirectorofFinanceperformsskilledfiscalcontrolandgovernmentalaccountingwork,providingoversightresponsibilityofaccountingfunctions,andhasakeenunderstandingofaccounting. PrimaryresponsibilityistheoversightoftheAccounting&Budgetfunctions.Performsreconciliations,advancedfiscalcontrol,budgetary,andaccountingwork.Thispositionwillneedtoworkwithvariousdepartmentsandagencies.Employeemustexerciseindependentjudgment,initiative,criticalthinking,andattentiontodetailinaccordancewithestablishedpoliciesandprocedures. QUALIFICATIONS ·Bachelor'sdegreeinaccountingorrelatedfield ·Amaster’sinbusinessadministration,CertifiedPublicAccountant,oraCertifiedPublicFinanceOfficercertificationispreferredbutnotrequired. ·Five+yearsofprogressivelyresponsibleexperienceinaccounting,finance,andbudgetingwithconsiderableexperienceworkingwithcomplexautomatedfinancialsystems,spreadsheetapplications,andfinancialreporting. ·Advancedknowledgeofmodernaccountingincludingtheapplicationofelectronicdataprocessingtothemaintenanceandanalysisoffiscaldata. ·Mustpossessathoroughknowledgeoffinancialoperations,includingbudgeting,reporting,taxation,revenue,andapplicablelawsandregulationsgoverningsuchfiscalrecordkeepingandbudgeting. ·Advancedknowledgeoffederal,state,andlocallawsandpoliciesconcerningmunicipalfiscaloperations. ·AdvancedknowledgeofgeneralgovernmentalandmunicipalaccountinganditscompliancewithGAAP,GFOA,andGASB. ·Broadknowledgeoffiscal,economicandbudgetanalysis,budgetdevelopmentandmanagement,andstatistics. ·Abilitytopreparegeneralledgers,billinginvoices,trialbalanceandotherrequiredaccountingreportsandinformation. ·Skilledininterpersonalrelationsandverbalandwrittencommunication. #J-18808-Ljbffr
