Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
HOT Interim DOP opportunity in a 100-bed community hospital in Western Illinois!
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Pharmacy leader to step into a critical interim leadership role and maintain operational stability during a temporary leadership absence.
Position Details:
- ASAP start
- 13-week (possible temp to hire)
- Interim Director of Pharmacy
- Community hospital setting
- Approximately 100 miles west of Chicago
- Competitive Weekly Pay (travel allowances/coverage included)
- Full time benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day leadership for Pharmacy operations
- Lead a team of approximately 24 direct reports
- Maintain operational continuity during the interim period
- Oversee staffing and pharmacy workflow
- Ensure regulatory compliance and medication safety
- Partner closely with hospital leadership, including the VP/CMO
- Support overall pharmacy operations and performance
Requirements:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist license
- Previous hospital Pharmacy leadership experience
- Strong operational leadership skills
- Strong regulatory and compliance knowledge
- Proven people-management and communication skills
