Benefits & Leave Coordinator

Location: Sandy Springs, GA
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site
Employment Type: Hourly, contract-to-hire

Position Overview

A well-established organization is seeking a Benefits & Leave Coordinator to join its Human Resources team. This role will support the administration of employee benefits while taking primary responsibility for the full-cycle administration of Leaves of Absence, including FMLA and disability leaves.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with sensitive employee information. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional with hands-on benefits and leave administration experience who enjoys supporting employees and managing processes from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k) plans.
• Manage the full lifecycle of Leave of Absence, including FMLA, disability, personal, and other applicable leaves.
• Coordinate employee benefit enrollments, changes, and related documentation.
• Serve as a resource for employees by responding to benefits and leave-related questions.
• Maintain accurate employee benefits, leave, HR, and payroll records.
• Prepare employee communications, correspondence, FAQs, and benefits documentation.
• Support compliance requirements related to FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
• Assist with benefits and HR audits and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Support wellness initiatives and other HR projects as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee and medical information.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HR experience with hands-on benefits and/or leave administration experience.
• Strong experience administering FMLA and Leaves of Absence from start to finish.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, or benefits administration systems preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or CEBS certification is a plus.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.
