Position Correctional Registered Nurse (RN) Location Marcy, NY Client New York Department of Corrections (NYDOC) Agency Cell Staff Cell Staff is partnering with the New York Department of Corrections (NYDOC) to secure dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses for a 51‑week renewable contract opportunity in Marcy, NY. This position provides clinical care within a correctional environment, offering full benefits and highly competitive compensation. Benefits Local Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour Travel Compensation: Candidates residing more than 50 miles from the facility are eligible for premium travel stipends and housing packages. Contract Terms: 51‑week initial contract length with options to renew for long‑term stability. Schedule & Hours Weekly Schedule: 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Conduct intake health screenings, triage, and comprehensive physical assessments of patients. Administer medications (Med Pass) and manage chronic care treatment plans. Provide urgent care, wound management, and emergency medical response as required. Collaborate with facility leadership, medical staff, and correctional officers to maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment. Licensure Must possess an active New York RN license in hand, or provide documented proof of an application currently in process with the state board. Certification Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
