Seeking a dedicated professional to fill a school-based psychologist role serving students in two locations near Oakland, CA. This contract opportunity covers a maternity leave from November through March 31 and requires in-person service at both sites. The focus is on supporting elementary-aged students through a comprehensive caseload, including SPED assessments, counseling services, and behavioral support strategies.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Valid credential or license as a School Psychologist in California
• Previous experience within elementary school settings preferred
• Demonstrated expertise conducting SPED assessments and participating in IEP processes
• Training or clinical background in counseling children and implementing behavioral support plans
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with staff, students, and families
• Ability to manage responsibilities across multiple sites in an itinerant model

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough psychoeducational assessments for students referred for special education services
• Providing direct counseling services and crisis intervention for individuals and groups
• Supporting teachers and staff with behavioral consultation and intervention planning
• Documenting all services and contributing to IEP meetings as a core team member
• Assisting in the development and implementation of strategies to support student learning and social-emotional growth
