This contract opportunity spans November through the end of March as the primary provider for a maternity leave, focused on supporting elementary-aged students both academically and emotionally. The position is strictly in-person, allowing for direct collaboration with educational teams and hands-on student support.

Desired experience and qualifications:

• Active School Psychologist credential for California
• Experience with Special Education (SPED) assessments for elementary populations
• Background providing counseling and behavioral interventions in a school environment
• Strong interpersonal skills for partnering with teachers, staff, and families
• Ability to efficiently manage an itinerant caseload, dividing time between multiple campuses
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a safe, inclusive school culture

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive SPED evaluations and write detailed, actionable reports
• Deliver individual and group counseling focused on students’ social-emotional needs
• Collaborate with educators to develop and implement effective behavior support plans
• Participate in IEP meetings, offering thoughtful insights and recommendations
• Support the transition planning and progress monitoring of students on your caseload
• Maintain all required documentation in compliance with state and district standards
