Work Environment

This position is an onsite role within our fully equipped rehabilitation facility, designed to offer a comprehensive range of services to our patients. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM in a setting that values teamwork and collaboration. Our facility includes state-of-the-art equipment, treatment areas, and a friendly atmosphere where our staff and patients feel welcomed and supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial evaluations and continuous assessments of patients to establish baselines for treatment.
• Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities suited to each patient's needs.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to set realistic, measurable goals for patient recovery while closely monitoring progress.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with both facility protocols and legal guidelines.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient outcomes and collaborate on care strategies.
• Provide patient education and support to motivate them throughout their rehabilitation journey, adapting techniques to encourage responsible progress.
• Stay abreast of current best practices by engaging in professional development opportunities, workshops, and reading relevant literature.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will engage with a wide range of patients, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic conditions that impact their movement and functional abilities. You'll be working with patients of all ages, tailoring your approach to suit each individual's physical and emotional needs, ensuring a holistic approach to their rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is essential.
• An active Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia is required.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) , including AED training.
• At least two years of experience in providing physical therapy services in a clinical setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to relate empathetically to patients and motivate them towards their rehabilitation goals.
• Solid understanding of physical therapy equipment and adherence to safety standards and best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team within a rehabilitation facility.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to efficiently document patient care.
• Knowledge of the latest therapeutic techniques and modalities in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

PT Plus offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
