Location: The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing at Pawling – Pawling, NY (127-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility)

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Food Service Supervisor to assess residents’ dietary needs and develop individualized meal plans.
• Design and implement menus to meet the nutritional requirements of residents, ensuring compliance with physician-prescribed dietary restrictions.
• Assist in developing, reviewing, and recommending food service policies and procedures.
• Support the Food Service Supervisor in evaluating staffing needs and managing day-to-day operations of the dietary department.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of food preparation and service, ensuring dietary plans are followed accurately.

Qualifications:

• Required:
  • Completion of an ACEND-accredited Nutrition and Dietetics Technician program.
  • A minimum of an Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Successful completion of 450 hours of supervised practice in healthcare, foodservice, or community nutrition programs.
  • Pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration’s (CDR) national examination to become a Certified Nutrition and Dietetics Technician (NDTR).
• Strong knowledge of dietary and nutrition principles, food safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
