Assistant Controller

I’m working with a rapidly scaling, PE-backed technology company in the data center / AI infrastructure space that is looking to add an Assistant Controller to their team. This is a high-visibility role supporting a business experiencing significant growth and investment.

This opportunity is ideal for a strong “super senior” or emerging Assistant Controller with a solid foundation in month-end close, general ledger, and financial reporting, along with exposure to cost accounting in a manufacturing environment .

What makes this unique is the clear path to Controller — the current Controller is expected to retire in the next 3–5 years, creating a true succession opportunity for the right individual.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Help lead month-end close (JE’s, recs, financials)

• Oversee GL activity and key balance sheet areas

• Support monthly/quarterly/annual reporting

• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A and operations

• Assist with audits, controls, and process improvements

• Contribute to cost accounting and inventory-related processes

What They’re Looking For

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience

• Big 4 or large public accounting foundation + industry experience

• CPA required

• Strong GAAP / financial reporting knowledge

• Manufacturing / cost accounting experience required

• ERP experience (Oracle a plus)

Comp: Base targeting $120K–$130K (flex to ~$135K for the right candidate) + bonus
