Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding role supporting high school students with significant support needs in a dedicated classroom environment for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position, located near Henderson, CO, runs from August 3, 2026, through May 21, 2027, and offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday (37.5 hours per week).

You’ll work closely with a small caseload of 9 students and receive the daily assistance of three paraprofessionals. Qualifications:

• Active Special Education Teaching Licensure from the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) required
• Previous experience teaching in a Special Education setting—particularly with significant support needs—highly preferred
• Strong instructional, classroom management, and communication skills
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
• Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Provide differentiated instruction and support to a small group of high school students
• Supervise, train, and collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals
• Communicate regularly with families and allied professionals to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with special education regulations
• Foster social, emotional, and academic growth for all students in the classroom
