Construction Superintendent - Commercial Construction - Base Salary to 190k/year - Goldens Bridge, NY

• Our client is an established commercial general contractor specializing in large-scale ground-up and renovation construction projects throughout the Northeast. Projects include healthcare facilities, higher education, K-12, senior living, multifamily, and other complex institutional and commercial environments.
• This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on commercial construction projects from preconstruction through project completion. The Superintendent will coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, enforce safety standards, maintain quality control, and ensure projects are completed according to plans, specifications, and contract requirements. This position is ideal for a hands-on construction leader with experience managing complex ground-up commercial projects in active and occupied environments.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all daily on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, deliveries, and field operations
• Maintain project schedules and monitor sequencing of work to support timely project completion
• Enforce jobsite safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct daily site meetings, subcontractor coordination meetings, and progress meetings
• Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documents
• Monitor workmanship and quality control to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Identify and address field issues, schedule impacts, and coordination conflicts
• Communicate project progress, schedule updates, and field conditions with Project Managers and internal leadership
• Coordinate inspections with governing authorities and ensure compliance with applicable building codes
• Manage punch list activities and project closeout processes
• Utilize construction management and scheduling software to track project progress and documentation

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Superintendent experience managing commercial construction projects
• Experience overseeing ground-up construction projects from start to finish
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontract trades on commercial construction sites
• Experience with commercial construction scheduling and project management software
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• OSHA safety knowledge and experience enforcing jobsite safety standards
• Experience managing healthcare, institutional, critical infrastructure, or other complex commercial construction projects
• Ability to work onsite daily in the Goldens Bridge, NY area

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 110k – 190k/year range
