California Licensed Bookkeeper

Seeking a California Licensed Bookkeeper, the part-time independent contractor will manage day-to-day financial operations for a nonprofit organization, working remotely and committing approximately 15-20 hours per month. Key responsibilities Participate in onboarding reviews and suggest improvements to financial processes Process accounts payable and receivable, execute payroll operations, and maintain accurate books in QuickBooks Deliver monthly financial reports and proactively address discrepancies or compliance deadlines Required qualifications Demonstrated experience managing books in QuickBooks for a nonprofit, including payroll and reconciliation Proficiency with cloud-based financial tools, specifically QuickBooks Online Experience tracking restricted and unrestricted funds in compliance with grant requirements Ability to work independently with reliable availability and proactive communication Experience working with nonprofit clients and references required, including at least one nonprofit
