Position Title: Respiratory Therapist


Assignment Length: 13 Weeks


Assignment Dates: 11/03/2026 - 01/30/2026


Shift: 12-Hour Nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)

Float & Schedule Requirements

• Float Requirement: None
• Weekend Requirement: As needed based on patient care and skill mix
• On-Call Requirement: None

FLOAT: Client reserves the right to float or reassign Personnel to other areas of practice within their clinical competence to fulfill the scheduled guaranteed hours and within thirty-five (35) miles of their originally assigned facility (unless otherwise agreed to in such Personnel's individual assignment confirmation).


Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cardiopulmonary
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience required Preferably, they would have 2.5 years of experience in pediatrics/NICU
  • NICU experience (Level III or IV): Minimum 2 years
  • Emergency Department experience required (can include float/cross-cover)
  • Previous travel experience required

Licensure & Certification Requirements

• Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Preferred Qualifications

• NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty) certification

Additional Unit-Specific Information

• Environment: Small unit with a broad skill mix, ranging from seasoned staff to new grads
• NICU Capability: Up to 6 ventilated patients
• Collaboration: Strong multidisciplinary teamwork required
• Best Fit Traveler:
  • Pediatric experience
  • Comfortable floating and supporting where needed
  • Former pediatric hospital experience
  • Team player with teaching willingness (RRT students)

RTO & Vaccination Policy

• No RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• Seasonal Influenza Vaccine:
  • Medical and religious exemptions accepted
  • Exemption Form must be included with submission:
    CHCO Vaccine Exemption Request Form
