Emerald Valley PT is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our rehabilitation center in beautiful Pensacola, Florida. You will provide care to a broad patient population, including athletes and adults dealing with a range of musculoskeletal pathologies, from initial injuries to chronic pain management.

Work Environment

Located onsite, our clinic is equipped with modern facilities and innovative therapeutic tools designed to create an optimal healing environment. The center promotes a positive and team-oriented workplace culture. As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely alongside a team of healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons and support staff, to ensure integrated care pathways for our patients. Our standard operating schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate individual needs and devise personalized treatment plans based on clinical guidelines and patient goals.
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other modalities tailored to meet the specific requirements of each patient.
• Regularly monitor patient progress through documentation and adjust treatment regimens as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families on injury prevention strategies, wellness techniques, and post-treatment care.
• Work collaboratively with orthopedic surgeons and other healthcare providers to integrate multidisciplinary approaches in patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation in accordance with clinic policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements to ensure seamless communication across the care team.
• Engage in professional development activities, staying current with the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be managing a diverse range of patients suffering from orthopedic conditions, which may include individuals recovering from surgical interventions, athletes looking to enhance performance or rehabilitate injuries, and adults experiencing chronic musculoskeletal issues. You will typically see 5-7 patients daily, allowing for personalized attention and effective treatment delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Hold a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly preferred; however, new graduates with relevant clinical rotations are encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrate proficiency in therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and functional movement assessments, to support hands-on patient care.
• Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills to foster a positive rapport with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of relevant experience is preferred, candidates showing eagerness to learn, alongside a clinical focus in orthopedic rehabilitation, may apply. Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with current rehabilitation trends will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
