Position Requirements Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis. You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with heavy construction equipment or rental equipment strongly preferred. Intermediate experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas engines.. Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, and EGR aftertreatment systems is preferred. Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing equipment repairs. Must have the necessary tools you need to perform the scope of equipment repairs. Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications. Intermediate understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods. Diesel laptop and welding experience is strongly preferred. Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
