Your Key Responsibilities Global management and development of designated product categories within the framework of the overarching strategy. Observation and analysis of the international market and competitive situation as a foundation for the strategic positioning of the area of responsibility. Portfolio management of the existing and/or future product range (technically sophisticated goods, several vehicle systems and product groups), including control of new product launches and phase-outs. Improvement of the cost structure of the responsible product group in cooperation with R&D, Industrial Engineering, plants, segments and operations through planning, implementation and control of appropriate measures. Active management of product changes from the idea creation to the actual implementation of the products change. Operational implementation of the program positioning by developing price settings, investing in tools, calculating business cases, making make-or-buy decisions, co-developing supplier strategies, ensuring delivery performance through inventory and supply planning, creating content for marketing campaigns and activing in the different sales channels. Develop programs, plans, and actions to drive business performance at all stages of the product lifecycle for the assigned products or product lines. Development of new sales potential (target groups, product forms, sales channels) in cooperation with the VLS Business Divisions and VLS Business Units. Support of the VLS regions in achieving sales and revenue targets. Business segment analyses including preparation of key figures, reports and presentations.
