Dining Room Manager

Markette is looking for a Dining Room Manager to join the team at our Modern European restaurant with Caribbean influences. 

Dining Room Manager   Duties & Responsibilities:

• Cultivate a culture of providing the highest level of hospitality for guests
• Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, motivation, evaluation and termination of team members
• Conduct performance reviews with team members and consistently holds them accountable through performance management
• Ensure cash policies and procedures are being followed at all times
• Manage appropriate inventory levels in product and plan accurately for forecasted sales trends
• Coordinate morale and exceeding customer expectation with attention to quickness and accuracy
• Schedule effectively to responsibly provide customer service and team support and target labor goals
• Ensure consistency in line with company quality standards
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations
• Responsible for maintaining health department regulations, training, and employee development

Dining Room Manager  Requirements & Skills

• 2-3 years of restaurant leadership experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform with frequent interruption and / or distractions
• Ability to communicate efficiently to help keep all team members informed of business changes and standards
• Ability to stand for long periods of time while leading the team and serving guests
• Available and able to work all shifts in the restaurant as scheduled to meet the needs of the business
• Team oriented, adaptable, and dependable, with a strong work ethic
• Exceptional customer service skills required
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills required
• Basic business math and accounting skills required
• Basic computer skills required
• Knowledge of food and labor cost
• Enjoys working with people
• Ability to create a fun environment for customers and staff
• Self-motivated and highly energetic
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Strong wine and spirit knowledge
• Food Handlers Certificate

• Experience in high end, premier NYC restaurants

• Attention to detail and spatial awareness
• Must have f ull availability including weekends
