Technical Project Manager

The Operations Performance and Business Intelligence team at GEICO is seeking an energetic Technical Project Manager to lead sub‑teams building key components of our business intelligence and reporting suite. The Technical Project Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, product, design, and business stakeholders to clarify objectives, align teams, and drive results through effective process management. Responsibilities Facilitate project ceremonies and manage multiple technical projects simultaneously. Serve as the primary liaison between cross‑functional stakeholders to clarify goals and create project plans that address internal customer needs. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to identify and implement process and project enhancements. Maintain strong project documentation and ensure adherence to timelines; adjust priorities to meet strict deadlines. Basic Qualifications 4 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or analyst on technical projects (Software Development, DevOps, etc.). Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to processes and projects. Strong critical thinking, decision‑making, and analytical skills. Outstanding time management skills and attention to detail. Experience facilitating project ceremonies and managing multiple projects. Ability to manage a variety of projects with strict deadlines. Ability to listen to internal customers and create project plans accordingly. A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field (business, finance, mathematics, computer science), or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, PowerBI, Figma. Experience with data analysis/BI/presentation tools such as PowerBI, PowerApps, Excel, PowerPoint. Ability to thrive in ambiguous or challenging situations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal relationship development skills. Location and Work Arrangement Location: Chicago, IL, Bethesda, MD, or Melville, NY. This is a hybrid role with a three-day in‑office requirement. Compensation Annual salary range: $77,900.00 - $129,150.00. Salary is determined by scope & responsibilities, experience, education, location and market considerations.
