School Psychologist - Denham Springs, Louisiana

Desired Skills & Experience:

Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
Master’s or higher degree in School Psychology or related field
Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings
Strong skills in assessments, interventions, and counseling
Proficiency in developing behavior intervention plans and IEPs
Comfortable delivering services remotely using virtual platforms
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines independently

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments for students
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop intervention strategies
Provide counseling and direct interventions to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering expertise in goal setting and progress monitoring
Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
Support crisis intervention efforts and promote positive school climates
Engage in ongoing professional development to ensure best practices
