Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Maintenance Technician at Emerson, location: Chanhassen, Michigan. 1st Shift (Mon-Thu 5:30 AM–2:30 PM; Fri 5:30 AM–12:00 PM). Apply troubleshooting skills to maintain and repair sophisticated production machinery and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities Prioritize safety while working in a production environment. Follow safe work habits and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on production equipment. Use engineering drawings, schematics, diagrams, and manuals to diagnose and repair equipment. Operate hand tools, including drills, measuring tools, taps, and presses. Use maintenance tracking software (CMMS). Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and be flexible to move between production areas as needed. Demonstrate basic repair, hand tool, mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Automatic Systems and Robotics, Electronics Technology, or related field. Ability to work 1st shift hours and weekend shift (5:30 AM–6:00 PM Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Experience with basic measuring, hand tools, and electrical skills. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications Maintenance or related job experience. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Problem‑solving and troubleshooting mindset. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $54,000 – $65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and skills.
