Reconstruction Estimator & Project Manager

Claims Loss Specialist / Restoration Estimator & Project ManagerPurofirst of Metropolitan Washington is seeking an experienced Claims Loss Specialist to join our restoration and reconstruction team. This is a full-time, salaried position with bonus opportunities, benefits, and a company vehicle. This hybrid role combines estimating, project management, customer communication, and job oversight from initial assignment through completion. Work may include insurance claim repairs, residential reconstruction, condominium and multifamily projects, commercial losses, and other property restoration work. The right candidate will have Xactimate experience, project management experience, and a strong understanding of construction, repair scopes, and the restoration process. This is not strictly an estimating role. The Claims Loss Specialist is expected to take ownership of assigned jobs, prepare accurate estimates, communicate with all parties involved, sell the job and help manage the project through production and closeout.Key Responsibilities:Manage assigned reconstruction projects from initial assignment through completion.Conduct site inspections and document damages with measurements, photos, notes, and scope details.Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using Xactimate.Communicate with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, TPAs, subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members.Handle estimate revisions, supplements, carrier feedback, and review requests as needed.Effectively present project scope and value to customers, securing customer approval and commitment to proceed with work.Coordinate with internal production teams to help move approved jobs into scheduling and execution.Assist with project planning, scope review, material needs, subcontractor coordination, and customer expectations.Monitor job progress and communicate updates throughout the repair process.Maintain organized documentation in company software and any applicable claim or program platforms.Help identify issues, missing information, delays, or scope concerns early and communicate them clearly.Qualifications:Xactimate experience is required.Project management experience is required.Experience in insurance restoration, reconstruction, construction, property claims, or repair estimating is strongly preferred.Experience with condominium, multifamily, commercial, or property management-related work is a plus.TPA or insurance program experience is a plus.Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.About Purofirst: Purofirst of Metropolitan Washington is a locally owned restoration and reconstruction company serving residential, condominium, multifamily, and commercial clients throughout the region.
