Attorney

Role Description The Attorney will manage a diverse caseload, including litigation matters, transactional work, and counseling clients on complex legal issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and transactional documents, preparing correspondence and legal opinions, and negotiating on behalf of clients. The role involves direct client contact, including advising clients on strategy, attending meetings, depositions, hearings, and, when appropriate, trial and mediation sessions. The Attorney will collaborate with firm leadership while maintaining a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Omaha, NE, requiring regular presence at the firm’s office. Qualifications Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to handle complex matters across litigation and transactions. Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, including advising on workplace issues, compliance, and dispute resolution. Demonstrated experience providing clear, practical Legal Advice to business and individual clients. Advanced Research skills, including case law analysis, statute interpretation, and fact investigation. Effective Negotiation abilities for settlements, contracts, and strategic resolutions. Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law; Nebraska bar admission strongly preferred (or ability to obtain promptly). 4 years of relevant legal experience in litigation, corporate, family, or related practice areas; boutique or small firm experience is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong drafting skills for pleadings, contracts, and client communications. Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently, exercise sound judgment, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
