Are you an experienced Medical Assistant looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a Medical Assistant to support a Pre-Op team in Las Vegas! This is a great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant who enjoys a fast-paced clinical environment, is comfortable working directly with patients and physicians, and is ready to take on additional responsibility as part of a collaborative medical team. What You’ll Do As a Medical Assistant supporting Pre-Op, you’ll assist physicians and the clinical team with patient care, preparation, documentation, and administrative responsibilities, including: Professionally greet and assist patients in person and by phone Support patients throughout the pre-operative process Obtain and document patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, weight, and heart rate Assist physicians and other medical professionals with clinical duties Verify patient identity and maintain accurate patient information Enter patient information and documentation into electronic databases Schedule appointments, cancellations, and update patient records Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary exam rooms and clinical spaces Ensure patient information and medical records remain confidential and HIPAA compliant Maintain required records and clinical documentation Monitor office equipment and clinical supplies Check inventory and order supplies as needed Prepare correspondence and other documentation Assist with training and supporting new Medical Assistants Identify and communicate patient or workflow concerns to physicians and supervisors Participate in team meetings, special projects, and continuous-improvement initiatives Work independently while remaining a collaborative and dependable member of the healthcare team Required High school diploma or GED Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant certification program 3+ years of experience in a medical setting Current BLS/CPR certification Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email Excellent organizational and time-management skills Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Hospital experience preferred Cardiology experience preferred Experience in Pre-Op, surgical, procedural, or ambulatory care settings is a plus Experience training or mentoring other Medical Assistants is a plus Why This Role? The role is primarily indoors, with occasional offsite travel.
