Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mood disorders, including evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms, to inform treatment plans.

• Develop personalized treatment strategies in collaboration with clients, focusing on their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients’ challenges effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, along with available treatment options and self-care practices, to empower them in their recovery journey.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on feedback and clinical developments.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and medical professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mood disorders to continually improve therapeutic strategies.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards to safeguard client information.

• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to share insights and support cross-disciplinary collaboration.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, participating in broader efforts to combat stigma around mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is working with clients experiencing issues related to divorce and relationship counseling. The LMFT will engage with individuals and families experiencing emotional distress, relationship conflicts, and transitions, providing therapeutic support that empowers them to navigate significant life changes effectively.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to establish a secure and trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.

• Empathy, compassion, and an ability to maintain a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences and struggles.

• Clinical experience in modalities such as structural family therapy, strategic therapy, systems therapy, narrative therapy, or communication therapy.

• Familiarity with working in outpatient settings.
