Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery

Schedule: Weekend coverage required; work every other weekend; holidays as needed. Orientation: 36 hours.

Requirements: Minimum of 35 years experience in Labor & Delivery, preferably in high-risk settings. Current BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate preferred. Experience with EPIC electronic fetal monitoring (hard stop). Proven ability to perform key clinical skills: circulate for C-section, baby nurse functions including neonatal assessments and medication administration.

Roles & Responsibilities: Assist with vaginal and high-risk deliveries, providing care to newborns until transfer to postpartum. Conduct newborn assessments and administer medications as required. Monitor fetal heart rates and interpret electronic fetal monitoring data. Support managing high-acuity cases and assist with emergency interventions.

Compliance / Notes: Two references covering one year within the last three years required. Modules must be completed prior to the start; less than 20 hours requires manager approval.
