Travel/contract RN in operating room for a 13-week assignment in Charlotte, NC. Provides expert nursing care to trauma and surgical patients while working with multidisciplinary teams. Earns up to $2,300 per week with competitive compensation and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert nursing care to trauma and surgical patients in the operating room, ensuring adherence to protocol and safety standards.
• Assist surgeons with complex procedures, preparation, and management of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including anesthesia, surgical techs, and nursing staff, to facilitate efficient and safe surgeries.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the EMR system, maintaining compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient assessments, reporting any concerns or complications to the supervising staff.

Qualifications:

• Nursing degree or diploma from an accredited program.
• BLS certification.
• Graduate of a surgical tech program.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level I or II Trauma Center for RNs and Surg Techs.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Flexible and team-oriented attitude.
• Comfortable with trauma cases.
• Strong communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
