Medical Assistant Position Details

• Schedule: 5x8-Hour Days
• Shift: 8-hour shift scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant / Patient Service Representative to support a high-volume outpatient clinic and provide both front-office and back-office clinical support . This role involves assisting high-profile patients throughout their entire healthcare experience, from enrollment and check-in through payment, imaging, provider visits, and follow-up.

The ideal candidate will have strong patient service skills, clinical experience, excellent communication, and the ability to work professionally with high-end or high-profile clientele . Experience in high-end sales or working with VIP patients/clients is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a professional and welcoming point of contact for high-profile patients.
• Chaperone patients through all aspects of their medical care, including enrollment, registration, check-in/check-out, payment, imaging, provider visits, and other services.
• Perform patient registration, check-in/check-out, insurance verification, and payment collection.
• Handle high-volume incoming calls and assist patients with questions, appointments, and clinic services.
• Verify and update patient demographics and HMO/PPO insurance information.
• Provide back-office clinical support, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients for provider visits.
• Perform venipuncture and blood draws accurately and safely.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures as needed.
• Perform room turnover and maintain clean, organized, and properly prepared examination rooms.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and confidentiality.
• Coordinate patient movement between different areas of the clinic, including imaging and provider services.
• Document patient information and clinical activities accurately in Epic .
• Maintain a professional, polished, and service-oriented approach when interacting with patients, providers, and staff.
• Float to other areas as needed to support clinic operations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of outpatient clinic experience
• Current experience with front-office check-in, check-out, and registration
• Front-office and back-office Medical Assistant experience required
• Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
• High School Diploma/GED
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC
• Current flu vaccination; no exemptions or declinations
• Strong experience with HMO/PPO insurance
• High-volume call-handling experience
• Venipuncture expertise
• Room turnover experience
• Current Epic experience
• High-end sales or experience working with high-profile/VIP clientele strongly preferred
