Courier/Swing Drvr/CDL

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick‑up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service features; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station’s service area; delivers, picks up, or shuttles dangerous goods packages requiring a placard. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months of courier experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must demonstrate area knowledge; lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance; possess good human relations and verbal communication skills; possess thorough knowledge of the station’s service area preferred; demonstrate adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods; meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations; pass all FedEx Express and regulatory/security background checks; be at least 21 years of age; read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA guidance. Job Conditions FMCSA‑covered safety‑sensitive position; medical exam required; subject to regulatory alcohol and drug testing (marijuana, PCP, amphetamines, cocaine, opioids). Must work in a constant state of alertness and safely. Must obtain and maintain a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and a hazardous materials endorsement (HME) for the assigned vehicle type; maintain a clean driving record; keep a neat appearance for customer contact. Preferred Qualifications Must have a CDL Class B driver license; must be 21 years old with a clean driving record. Pay and Work Hours Pay range: $21.36 – $33.18 per hour. Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
