Assignment Details
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- Required: Level I trauma experience and telemetry experience
- Preferred: Phase II PACU experience and comfort with higher nurse-to-patient ratios
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Must be willing to perform pre-op duties
- Experience with ventilated patients, dysrhythmia recognition/management, and basic pediatric care is essential.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
- Monitor patient's vital signs and level of consciousness post-surgery and intervene as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective patient care and recovery.
- Assist in managing ventilator-dependent patients and recognize/act on dysrhythmias.
- Educate patients and families on recovery procedures and post-operative care.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 24 hours
- Flu vaccine required; medical/religious exemptions allowed
- Holiday requirement: Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles
- Requests for time off greater than 7 days need approval; no time off during the first 7 days or on the last day of contract
