Job Description
Registered Nurse - Medical Intensive Care Unit

Schedule

3x12s (36 hours); day/night rotation with rotation every 4 weeks.

Assignment Details

Patient ratios are estimated at 1:1-2 for days/nights.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Medical ICU experience.
• Epic documentation proficiency required.
• BCLS/BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications (AHA certifications only).
• Familiarity with management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator care.
• Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV starts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the ICU setting.
• Manage ventilated patients and ensure effective telemetry monitoring.
• Administer medications and continuous sedation as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.

Compliance / Notes

Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine is not required. Background checks and drug screens may be part of the hiring process.
