About This Role The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Trauma Department provides direct care to a variety of complex patients, focusing on achieving desired outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Highlights Location: Hackensack, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift What You'll Do Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status. Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions. Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care. Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technologies. Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Initiate interventions related to patient's change in condition. Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses. Requirements Education: Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required; BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years preferred. Experience: Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program. Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey; BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
