Program Manager

This role supports a Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD. Job Description and Responsibilities: Acts as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort. Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities on technical and program/project issues. Oversees contractor execution of the contract requirements. Manages acquisition and employment of program/project resources. Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. Oversees the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Prior experience working with large IT service projects supporting the Navy is strongly preferred. Provides overall management and accountability for program budget with P&L responsibility The PM interfaces with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel and leads the team in developing new products, processes, standards, or operational plans in support of the program. Directs activities that have significant impact on the achievement of results for the project/function Responsible for resources, and frequently influences organizational or operational decisions made by leadership. Solves difficult and complex problems and issues by gathering and analyzing information. Basic Requirements: A minimum of 12 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description and a BA/BS. Works on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. Oversees the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Prior experience working with large IT service projects supporting the Navy is strongly preferred. Education Requirements: BA/BS degree Certification Requirements: Qualifying higher level IT-related certification such as CISSP, CySA+, SecurityX Security Clearance: Top Secret or above (must be a US Citizen) Telework and Travel: Hybrid.
