CNC Machinist / Operator (Mill)Location: Rochester, NYPay Range: $24-$28/hour TEMP-TO-HIRESchedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Full-time)Position SummaryNesco Resource Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented CNC Machinist / CNC Machine Operator to join one of our clients. This position is responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision components while meeting production, quality, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC mills in a manufacturing environment. Experience performing CNC machine setups is highly preferred.Primary ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.Perform machine setups, tool changes, and fixture changes (preferred experience).Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers.Verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and gauges.Monitor machine performance & make minor offset adjustments as needed to maintain quality.Inspect parts throughout machining process to ensure specs and tolerances are met.Deburr, clean, and prepare finished parts for the next stage of production.Replace cutting tools and monitor tool wear.Maintain production records and quality documentation.Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.Keep work area organized and maintain a safe working environment.Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals.QualificationsPrevious CNC machining or CNC machine operating experience required.Experience operating CNC vertical or horizontal milling machines.CNC machine setup experience is highly preferred.Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.Experience using precision measuring equipment.Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.Preferred SkillsExperience with Fanuc or Haas CNC controls.Knowledge of machining tolerances and geometric dimensions.Understanding of tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools.Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience is a plus.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods.Bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.Manual dexterity required to operate machinery and measuring equipment.Why this opportunity?Monday-Friday schedule with weekends offStable, growing manufacturing environmentOpportunity to expand CNC setup skillsCompetitive compensation and benefitsTeam-oriented workplace focused on quality and continuous improvementNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
