This position is fully remote, leveraging the latest in telehealth technology to ensure that clients receive care in a flexible and comfortable setting. Our team utilizes secure electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, to effectively manage client information and treatment documentation while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, including preliminary interviews, with clients to assess their emotional and psychological well-being.

• Develop tailored treatment and intervention plans aiming to address the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding clients through evidence-based practices to foster healing and growth.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout their treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to therapeutic approaches as needed.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, social workers, and nurses, to enhance the quality of care for clients.

• Manage and coordinate referrals for additional services or specialists to ensure comprehensive support for client recovery.

• Follow up with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers when clients are hospitalized, ensuring a seamless continuum of care tailored to their needs.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health challenges, providing practical strategies for managing and overcoming behavioral issues.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Place of Grace, you will work with a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated clinical experience as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community setting.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for documentation and client management.
\n
• Understanding of co-occurring disorders and the interplay between physical and emotional health conditions.
\n
• Knowledge of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is preferred.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including empathy and ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing telehealth services or familiarity with virtual counseling platforms.

• A solid understanding of medications prescribed for mental health conditions and their potential effects.

• Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
