This is a great locum opportunity for an OB Hospitalist to provide in-house coverage at a well-supported birth center in Mason City, Iowa. You'll work alongside a collaborative care team in a setting that combines clinical care with teaching exposure.

The Role
Mason City, IA
Start: ASAP
Inpatient OB coverage (Birth Center)
EMR: Epic
24-hour in-house shifts

Schedule
• As-needed coverage (~4 shifts/month)
• 24-96 hour shift blocks available
• Immediate dates: May 20, 25, 26, 27

What You'll Be Working With
• ~500-600 births per year
• 1 full-time OBGYN (clinic/surgery)
• OB Hospitalist team: 1 FT, 1 PT, 3 PRN
• 5 APPs (NPs, PAs, midwife)
• 1:1 nursing support + full hospital team

Support & Environment
• 24/7 Pediatric hospitalists + NICU support
• EFM-certified nurses and OB providers
• Lactation support (CLC & IBCLC)
• Lab, imaging, and pharmacy onsite
• Teaching hospital with residency + medical students

Responsibilities
• Inpatient OB coverage
• Supervision of APPs
• Collaboration with multidisciplinary care team
• No outreach or telehealth
