Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist with strong Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience to support daily accounting operations, procurement, and month-end activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash collections and vendor payments, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company procedures. Responsibilities Support daily accounting operations with a primary focus on A/R, A/P, and procurement. Monitor A/R aging reports, manage collections, and follow up with customers on outstanding invoices. Process A/P transactions by verifying invoices, entering vendor bills, and preparing payment batches for approval. Coordinate procurement and purchasing activities to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services. Track purchases for budget compliance and operational needs. Assist with month-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations. Support fixed asset tracking, inventory accounting, sales tax compliance, and ad hoc financial reporting. Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and internal controls. Work in NetSuite to manage accounting workflows and reporting. Requirements And Desired Experience Strong experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Experience supporting accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with NetSuite. Working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication and follow-up skills. Ability to work collaboratively across finance, operations, and vendors. Analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and process improvement. Experience in the biotech industry preferred Experience with procurement and purchasing processes a plus Exposure to month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting a plus Experience with fixed assets, inventory accounting, and sales tax compliance preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
