Travel RN Med Surg | North Olmsted, Ohio

Schedule/Hours

• 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday required

Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or OH)
• Minimum 2 years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
• Proficiency with insulin gtts required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke (all required)
• Dysrhythmia exam required (study guide available)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, PCCN/CCRN, or EPIC EHR proficiency preferred

Patient Population & Unit Details

• 29-bed unit, 1:5 to 1:6 patient ratio on nights
• Patient population: Ortho, Neuro, and Telemetry
• Hands-on with wounds vacs, PICC/central lines, BiPAP/CPAP/high flow, cardiac drips (non-titratable)
• Ancillary staff: 1-2 per shift; phlebotomy available

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive assessments and plans patient-centered care
• Monitors, implements, and evaluates treatment interventions; reads/verifies telemetry strips each shift in Epic
• Administers medications safely and manages advanced respiratory modalities
• Serves as advocate for patient safety, privacy, and emotional well-being
• Facilitates coordinated care-with family engagement and multi-disciplinary collaboration
• Contributes to ongoing quality improvement and clinical education for peers
