Safety Manager/Representative - Life Science

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA
Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 (Based on Experience) 

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive Safety Field Representative to serve as the on-site safety engineer and advocate for safe work practices across pharmaceutical, life sciences, and bio-tech facilities . Operating within a high-standard pharmaceutical client environment, this role oversees compliance across specialized settings including cleanrooms, regulated laboratories, and active capital project construction sites. 

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Safety Field Representative monitoring capital projects across pharmaceutical laboratories, R&D spaces, cleanrooms, and industrial areas.
• Enforce safety programs and ensure OSHA/EHS compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; develop corrective actions.
• Lead safety training, toolbox talks, and new-hire orientations.
• Maintain safety records, permits, reports, and compliance logs.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into operations.
• Track safety metrics and recommend improvements.
• Support emergency planning, audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Promote a strong safety culture through coaching and observations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of EHS/Safety field experience supporting pharmaceutical, life sciences, cleanroom, biotechnology, or highly regulated facility/construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS practices.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and report-writing skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between job sites.
• Experience in safety, EHS, OSHA, quality, or construction safety roles.
• OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, or similar certifications preferred.
