Patient Care Technician

Job DescriptionMajor Function:The Patient Care Technician takes direction from the registered nurse. The main functions are to maintain a safe, clean environment in patient rooms and service areas, assists licensed personnel with basic patient needs and monitoring health and vital signs.Qualifications:Education & Experience:High School graduate or equivalent.Qualified candidates must meet one of the following:Previous experience as a nurse aide/residential aide/patient aide with experience in supporting patients' activities of daily living and vital signs.Completion of a nurse aide, multi-skilled tech or patient care tech course(s).Completion of one clinical semester in an LPN/RN programCertification/Licensure:Current American Heart Association BLS required.Welle Training (computer and classroom) within six months of hire.Certified Nurse's Aide license or Patient Care Technician certification preferred.Physical Requirements:N: Never O: Occasionally (80%)Lifting - O - Standing - C - Sitting - OLifting 20-50lbs - F - Climbing - O - Kneeling - FLifting>50lbs - O - Crouching - O - Reaching - FCarrying - F - Hearing - C - Walking - FPushing - F - Talking - F - Vision - CEnvironmental Conditions:Noise - F - Varied Temperatures - O - Cleaning Agents - FNoxious odors - O - Patient Exposure - F - Operative Equipment - FBenefits Information:Click Here to Review Our Great Benefits Offerings
